Auditor application

Only registered TruckSafe auditors are permitted to conduct TruckSafe audits. Being a registered TruckSafe auditor does not guarantee you will be chosen to complete a TruckSafe audit for a member.

TruckSafe will consider applications for an individuals who are registered with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator as an NHVAS auditor or are a qualified ISO 45001 auditor.

A registered TruckSafe auditor is a person who has been approved by the TISMC and:

Has been successfully inducted by TruckSafe, and

I

Attends TruckSafe auditor information/training sessions held from time-to-time, and

I

Abides by the TruckSafe auditing rules and TruckSafe Auditor Code of Conduct, and

I

Maintains current Professional Indemnity insurance, and

I

Maintains either their registration with the NHVR as an NHVAS auditor or their ISO 45001 auditor qualification, and

I

Accepts the terms and conditions of use and maintains an active account on TruckSafe's 3rd party digital platform, and

I

Has been issued with a TruckSafe auditor registration number.

Please note the following:

Any costs associated with any TruckSafe audit is the responsibility of the business being audited, payable directly to the auditor

I

Auditors will be charged a fee for completing a TruckSafe audit by our 3rd party provider on their platform. Auditors should factor this cost when charging for their services

I

Auditors cannot complete an audit on a member that they provide consulting services for or there are relatives/family of the auditor that are providing consulting services to the member until at least two (2) years after the auditor or the auditor's relatives have stopped consulting for them

I

The same auditor cannot complete more than two (2) TruckSafe audits in a row for the same member

I

TruckSafe may not approve an audit and instead require another auditor to be chosen by the member where it is known (or reasonably suspected) there is a relationship, agreement, or pattern between the member and the auditor they selected

I

Auditors may be engaged by a member to travel interstate to complete audits
